My Skincare Regimen

We live in a generation where we rather cover up our skin problems with makeup opposed to having good skin with or without makeup. With that being said, I enjoy both makeup and skincare products because I want to actually wake up FLAWLESS!

I have really oily skin and for the longest time I would skip out on putting moisturizer on my face because I didn't want to add more oil into my oily skin. Sounds like it makes sense right? Well I went to that good ole Sephora one day and this super saleswoman convinced me into buying the Boscia Deep Hydration Sleeping Mask. She said that it is better to add moisturizers and oils into your skin so your skin won't try to produce it's own oils throughout the day. She promised me if I bought this product and used it at least 4 times a week I would stop having oily skin. Now the product was $34, but I believe if you want nice skin you have to invest in your skincare products. I mean we spend $30+ at the nail shop every two weeks when we could easily do our own nails but that's not that point lol. She tried to convince me to get this Boscia oil and matching moisturizing cream but they were $46 a piece....ummmm no. I did get samples of them both and loved the products a lot. As an alternative this is what I've been doing:

I use my Garnier Shine Control Cleansing Gel as my daily face wash. At night when I'm wiping off my makeup I first apply coconut oil all over my face, remove the makeup and coconut oil with a makeup wipe, wash my face with the Garnier Shine Control Cleansing Gel, and lastly I apply the Boscia Deep Hydration Sleeping Mask. In the morning I just rinse my face and the Boscia Deep Hydration Sleeping Mask in the shower and my skin is baby soft. When I get out of the shower I add a drop of Almond oil on my skin (my replacement for the expensive Boscia oil) and then I add any current moisturizing lotion that I have. I guess the Sephora worker was right because I've been less oily throughout the day by adding my own oils and moisturizers.

If you are looking for a new daily face wash, try out the Garnier Shine Control Cleansing Gel. It's a drugstore product so it's very inexpensive and it actually helps remove oils from my skin. We all have different skin issues but these two products have been working great for me the past couple of months. I'm always open to trying new products so what's some of your favorite skincare products? Or just let me know your skincare regimen. =)
