Is Murad Prebiotic Skincare really good!?

Hey Skincare lovers!

It’s our favorite day of the week…Sunday! Sunday Funday, Self-care Sunday and my favorite, Skincare Sunday! Sunday’s I love to just wind down with a good skincare routine and maybe try out some new products. Last month, I started using the new Murad Prebiotic 4-in-1 Multicleanser and 3-in-1 Multimist. I received the products as a gift and couldn’t wait to try them out, especially since my skin was feeling super dry due to the winter weather. And before you say anything, I traveled to the east coast and it was actually cold cold not Los Angeles cold, so my skin needed some hydration.

I started by using the Murad Prebiotic 4-in-1 Multicleanser every morning and every night. This cleanser is not a cleanser that lathers. It’s more like a gel and oil mix that is breaking down your makeup while you use it. I use it in conjunction with my Clarisonic Mia and I can see all the excess dirt that my makeup wipes missed. The prebiotocs in this cleanser is supposed to balance your skin’s microbiome for healthier looking skin. So far, I’m a fan! I like the way my skin feels after I use it and I can actually feel how clean my face is. It doesn’t dry my skin out, which is a plus during the cold weather. After completing my skincare regimen, I spray the Murad Prebiotic 3-in-1 Multimist. This mist is phenomenal. I used to not understand the hype about hydrating mist until I started using this one. They’re amazing! You can spray them throughout the day and they act as a setting spray for your makeup, so you don’t have to worry about the mist messing up your beat! It’s a good daily skin refresher if you feel like your skin is feeling extra extra dry.

After a month of usage, I’ll give the new Murad Prebiotic line a thumbs up! The prebiotic is doing exactly what I expected. My skin is looking healthier and has a glow to it that can’t be found in the Winter time! Nothing beats a makeup remover that moistures your skin too. If you’re interested in trying these products, I’ll link both items on the pictures below. Ulta is currently having a deal where if you buy the cleanser you can get the mist for free! Definitely check it out. Happy Skincare Sunday guys!

Have you ever used an overnight mask? They're really good for adding extreme moisture while you sleep. What I love most about overnight mask, is when I wake up the next day my face feels heavenly. Check out the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask if you want to try a good overnight mask.

What makes the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask so amazing!?

  • It’s formulated with highly concentrated Hydro Ionized Mineral Water to deliver intense doses of moisture to stressed, parched skin.

  • It relaxes and comforts while apricot and evening primrose extracts brighten and purify fatigued skin

  • You wake up with your skin looking and feeling radiant, refreshed, soft and glowing!

Skincare Sunday's - Sun protection

Hey, hey, hey!

It's been 5 days since I've been in Hawaii and I am in love with this place. Like OMG! I can not wait to share with you guys my Hawaii travel diary. Ahhh! Anywho, this Skincare Sunday's is about the facial sunscreen that I've been using on the trip. It is very very important to have some type of SPF on your skin daily no matter if you're on vacation or not. To get that glow that everyone wants, you must keep your skin hydrated. With that being said, having too much direct sun can dry out your skin. So, instead of looking glowy you just look dry and crusty. Nobody wants a crusty face. I normally use a primer that has SPF in it but since I am on vacation and laying out in the sun, I wanted to make sure my SPF was as high as possible. I wash my face like normal and then apply the Lancome Bienfait UV Sunscreen on my skin BEFORE my makeup. It is super lightweight and oil free. Two things I look at when I'm putting something on my skin.  It's just like normal sunscreen. So, if you apply it without putting on makeup your skin will have that white, ashy look to it after a while. Other than that, I love the product! Perfect for the Summer. They sell this sunscreen at Sephora, Ulta and any department store with a Lancôme booth. Protect that skin ladies!

Purple Paradise

Since purple is my all time favorite color I wanted to share with you guys my favorite purple lipsticks. I think that any shade of purple goes with all skin tones, you just have to have confidence and rock it! The first lipstick is my favorite and I wear it throughout the year. (Who said dark colors are only worn in the fall?) and the rest of the colors, well you know they're just pretty. Hope you enjoy my swatches/samples of these beautiful lipsticks. Let me know which one is your favorite in the comments below!

My Skincare Regimen

We live in a generation where we rather cover up our skin problems with makeup opposed to having good skin with or without makeup. With that being said, I enjoy both makeup and skincare products because I want to actually wake up FLAWLESS!

I have really oily skin and for the longest time I would skip out on putting moisturizer on my face because I didn't want to add more oil into my oily skin. Sounds like it makes sense right? Well I went to that good ole Sephora one day and this super saleswoman convinced me into buying the Boscia Deep Hydration Sleeping Mask. She said that it is better to add moisturizers and oils into your skin so your skin won't try to produce it's own oils throughout the day. She promised me if I bought this product and used it at least 4 times a week I would stop having oily skin. Now the product was $34, but I believe if you want nice skin you have to invest in your skincare products. I mean we spend $30+ at the nail shop every two weeks when we could easily do our own nails but that's not that point lol. She tried to convince me to get this Boscia oil and matching moisturizing cream but they were $46 a piece....ummmm no. I did get samples of them both and loved the products a lot. As an alternative this is what I've been doing:

I use my Garnier Shine Control Cleansing Gel as my daily face wash. At night when I'm wiping off my makeup I first apply coconut oil all over my face, remove the makeup and coconut oil with a makeup wipe, wash my face with the Garnier Shine Control Cleansing Gel, and lastly I apply the Boscia Deep Hydration Sleeping Mask. In the morning I just rinse my face and the Boscia Deep Hydration Sleeping Mask in the shower and my skin is baby soft. When I get out of the shower I add a drop of Almond oil on my skin (my replacement for the expensive Boscia oil) and then I add any current moisturizing lotion that I have. I guess the Sephora worker was right because I've been less oily throughout the day by adding my own oils and moisturizers.

If you are looking for a new daily face wash, try out the Garnier Shine Control Cleansing Gel. It's a drugstore product so it's very inexpensive and it actually helps remove oils from my skin. We all have different skin issues but these two products have been working great for me the past couple of months. I'm always open to trying new products so what's some of your favorite skincare products? Or just let me know your skincare regimen. =)
