5 Things That Bring Me Joy

Hey hey!

I hope you guys had a good week and are hanging in there during these uncertain times. I’ve honestly been on an emotional rollercoaster since the beginning of this pandemic. Some days I’m super happy and ready to be productive and some days I want to give up. Lately, I’ve been on the happier side, which is a plus, but I have my moments. Like yesterday I accidentally deleted my blog post that I was supposed to post (if you haven’t been reading my blogs, I’m doing a daily blog challenge for the month of July). I instantly got in my feelings. I felt defeated, like I failed the blog challenge already. I pulled myself up and that’s where this blog came from. I wanted to share with you guys 5 Things That Bring Me Joy. This list helped bring me happy joy and think of happier thoughts. I encourage you all to write a list of 5 things that make you happy, so the next time you’re down you can instantly bring yourself back up.

  1. Watching Disney movies. This is the number one thing I do when I’m down. I actually put a Disney movie on every night, because it helps me go to sleep with happy thoughts. I mostly play the same 5 movies over and over (Hercules, Tanlged, Zootpoia, Aladdin and Frozen), but sometimes I like to switch it up. It’s really just the singing that brings me joy.

  2. Listening to the rain app. I know that’s super random, but its something about listening to rain that really brings me joy. It’s very soothing and can calm any bad thoughts I have. I kinda imagine myself somewhere else while listening to rain and it uplifts my spirit.

  3. Going on hikes. Overall going outside makes me happy, but going on hikes really brings me joy. A hike is always so beautiful. The scenery alone is a game changer. One of the main reasons I enjoy living in LA is all of the wonderful scenery! It’s something about seeing God’s creation, that lets me know I’m going to be alright.

  4. Talking to my mom. I talk to my mom almost every day. She is the only person who can instantly turn my mood around. I thank God I have a good relationship with my mom, because on days when I really sad she’s always my voice of reason. After one talk with her, I’m smiling from ear to ear.

  5. Cleaning/Organizing my apartment. I’m one of those crazy people who love to clean. I can clean my life away and be the happiest person once I’m done. It’s just something about seeing stuff organized and spotless that does it for me. Sometimes if I’m bored, I’ll just start cleaning the kitchen. The kitchen can never be too clean lol. Call me crazy, but cleaning really does bring me joy.

Now that you know a little something about me, what brings you joy? Let me know in the comments below. It can be super random too!
