Comparison is the thief of joy. What’s worse is comparing yourself to a friend or someone close to you. It’s easy to find ourselves feeling slightly jealous or comparing ourselves to our friends/counterparts journeys. ✨ My good sis Seyi reminded me the other day that we don’t know when or how long someone has been sowing their seed. She’s right. Sometimes we get sooo caught up in seeing someone flourishing, that we lose faith in our own journeys and sowing our own seed. ✨ Sometimes I have to say this out loud to believe it. “God already has it written out for me. If I keeping sowing my seed, working my best, and striving to walk in my purpose, in due time I’ll reap my harvest.” ✨ If you need motivation going into this next season, write it down and say it out loud until you believe it. If you watch my stories, then you know I have a new found love with hitting the trail and getting my hike on. I’ve been twice this week and I already see how it’s made an impact on how I work throughout the day. It’s easy for me to go days without leaving the house since I’m working from home full time. So, this has been a good way for me to connect and reflect with myself. ✨ What are some things you do to reflect? I haven’t been consistent with journaling, but so far taking these hikes are good for me! ✨ I also got a few responses about people wanting to hike, so if you’re down for a hiking group then let me know!
